| For
those who have already started to search the Internet for Microsoft MCSA
/ MCSE
related web sites, I am sure you have been a bit overwhelmed by the HUGE
numbers of web sites devoted to obtaining these Microsoft
certifications. Problem
is with so many web sites available, it is most difficult
for the new student to decide which web sites they should visit.
With a full time job and other items
that require your attention like, eating, sleeping and spending time with the
significant other, time management is of the up most importance!
Spending countless hours surfing the endless number of certification web sites can kill
many evenings.... this is not a good thing.
You can skip the TOP
"whatever" MCSA / MCSE web site lists and other "site
ranking" Microsoft Certification web sites since they are usually full of blind, dead or
misdirection links for site ranking purposes that will have you clicking
endlessly as you try to close those annoying "pop-ups" that
fill your screen.
Also, the majority of the web sites
listed on MCSE ranking sites are out of date, old material and are of little
use to the serious student.
I have listed the "cream of the crop" when it
comes to MCSA / MCSE Certification related web sites, there is no need to visit any other. Each link will open a new Browser
Window so that you can come back to this page easily.... Enjoy!

One of my favorites, Labmice finds and consolidates the best resources from hundreds of the biggest tech sites, and sort them by topic. The links are hand picked and verified weekly which saves time since many sites come and go quickly. |
|
MC/MCSE provides extensive certification info and
preparation materials for MCSE
certification and more, it also has a career center. The Tech Tutorials section has over 800 free computer/networking related tutorials and
white papers. |
|
ExamNotes offers free on-line practice exams plus popular discussion boards, books, and of
course more links. This site host a unique IT Job search engine that lets you search the databases of 5 leading online recruiters. |
|
Home - Sweet - Home for all
Microsoft Professionals. Has tons of recourses for the MCSE in training as
well as seasoned professionals. Once you are certified be sure to sign up
for the "Members Only" section which is open only to MCP/MCSE. |
|
If you haven't heard of
Brainbuzz by now then you may be missing one of the best all-in-one
technical web sites on the Internet. They have a huge section for MCSE
Certifications as well as an excellent IT recruiting and job search
section. |
|
Although not as comprehensive
as the MCSE Directory, this site offers a very "clean" look that
is easy on the eyes. My main recommendations are to take advantage of the
on-line quizzes, tests and explore it's huge IT job search database. |
|
Great site with a large
listing of FREE on-line or downloadable technical tutorials. Currently
there are over 80 tutorials on Windows 2000 alone, I strongly suggest you
review those dealing with Active Directory, Administration and Installation. |
|
If you haven't shelled out the
money for a Microsoft TechNet subscription yet (and you will eventually),
then the next best thing is the on-line "limited" version. Use
the on-line version to help you research MCSE related questions on sample tests. |
|
While we are on the subject of
Microsoft, the "Official" Windows 2000 site is a must! As an
MCSE in training it is highly recommended to frequent this site often for
technical information right from the horse's mouth! (Sorry Bill) |
|
You WILL be using this site
more once you become certified. The depth of technical information is
outstanding and many articles can help you in your MCSE studies now and
later, when your on site dealing with Active Directory related issues. |
|
Everything you ever wanted to
know about ISA Server, all in one web site! Although the ISA class is only
two days, the test is much more difficult and more technical info is
needed to pass. Hands on experience and using this site is a MUST! |
|
More on ISA Server? Trust me
you will need it! Once again our friends at MS provide an outstanding
resource that can be used for MCSE study as well as deployment. Major
Hint: Download and USE the eval copy, read all the case studies! |
|
If you have cable, DSL or any
other fast connectivity to the Internet then a visit to this site is very
helpful. 56K may be tolerable, AOL? Forget it! Get a real ISP! View
the technical seminars on Active Directory, Group Policy, RIS and DDNS. |
|
Original software
documentation is usually, shall we say... lacking in many areas? Oh, but
our friends at MS did their homework with Windows 2000. You will find many
gems on this site, worth your immediate attention for any design tests. |
|
Looking for quick answers to your MCSE 2000 Certification questions?
They claim to be the Internet's #1 certification discussion board, lots of
traffic. However, I suggest your "research" (aka TechNet) any responses, just to make sure. |
|
This is probably the only
"personal" Windows information page worth listing for the MCSE
student. Pay special attention to Franks helpful "how to" guides,
they are very specific and written in easy to read format for the new
Windows 2000 user. |
|
For some unknown reason this
site comes and goes, but I suggest you try again later. Why, simply said
this is the BEST site for on-line tutorials on how to subnet. They use PowerPoint
slides with voice over, you will need Media Player. |
| If
there are any Microsoft Certification training websites you have come
across that perhaps you feel are good enough to be listed here,
please let me know and I will review them. Of course, feel free to let
me know if any of these currently listed sights no longer work... Thanks! |
